It is common, as an artist, to be asked, whether by students, audience, or others, "what does it take to succeed?"

Naturally the answer varies depending on your definition of success. For me, to succeed as a dancer, the answer is simple:

​First, be a good person.

Second, be a good dancer.

Third, approach each of the previous two goals in this order, always.
