ON WELLNESS

We have come to think of wellness as diet and exercise, with a splash of wine and the occasional bubble bath. While diet and exercise are important, and I love wine and bubble baths (preferably together), I am on a personal mission to showcase how much deeper wellness truly is.

I commit to my financial wellness through budgeting, a continued quest for financial literacy, monthly contributions to retirement and savings accounts, and some help from financial professionals. I am fortunate to have been given the gift of basic financial literacy from my parents beginning at a young age. I recognize that financial literacy carries with it many layers of privilege. Though I am not a professional by any means, I am willing to share my knowledge with anyone who may need help improving their financial wellness, and would also be happy to connect individuals to professional resources as I am able.

As I continue to commit to my own wellness and the wellness of my community, I promise to continue to promote wellness as a holistic endeavor that requires the balancing and juggling of many factors, including many of the above mentioned. As a wellness professional, I promise to offer my knowledge of wellness in all of these areas, and to connect those in need with the wellness services they require, as best I am able.
